The Alicia Towne Plaza shopping center at 24391-24491 Alicia Parkway is seeking a facelift that would add new paint and materials on the façade, new landscaping and an outdoor seating area. The Design Review Committee heard the plans on Wednesday, October 28, and the application will be reviewed at a future meeting of the Planning and Transportation Commission, according to the posted minutes.

The request is a minor modification, numbered P-MM2026-0010, that would permit exterior changes to the center, which sits in the Commercial Community (CC) zoning district. MMA Architecture, the authorized representative of SR Park Aliso LLC, submitted the petition.

What the committee discussed

The minutes record a presentation of the exterior upgrades: new paint and materials on the façade, landscaping and the outdoor seating area. The committee's discussion "included additional outdoor seating opportunities and updating signage."

The meeting: Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at City Hall, Mission Viejo Room, 200 Civic Center. It began at 3:00 p.m. and adjourned at 3:52 p.m.
