The Mission Viejo City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in the Council Chambers at 200 Civic Center. The city's participation page lists meetings at 5 p.m., while the City Clerk's FAQ says the public portion begins at 6 p.m. or soon thereafter, so check the posted agenda for the start time. Agendas are posted at City Hall on the Wednesday afternoon before each meeting and are also on the city's agenda portal.

Watching. Meetings air on MVTV Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, and stream on the city's digital streaming service. Residents can also attend virtually by Zoom, using the app, a web browser or a telephone dial-in. The Zoom webinar opens to attendees 15 minutes before the meeting starts.

Speaking. Speakers can come in person or take part by Zoom or phone. On Zoom, use the Raise Hand button, or press *9 on a phone. For items not on the agenda, raise your hand when the Mayor opens the general public comment period near the beginning of the meeting. For a specific agenda item, raise your hand as soon as the Mayor introduces that item number. The City Clerk closes the virtual queue immediately before the comment period begins, and hands raised after that are not recognized. Each speaker is allowed up to 3 minutes, the same as in-person speakers, and Zoom speakers are asked to begin by stating their name and city of residence.

Writing. Comments can also be emailed to cityclerk@cityofmissionviejo.org by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

The Zoom meeting details are on the city's online public comments page, linked below.
